About JAS-mine Online

JAS-mine Online is a web application that showcases microsimulation and agent-based demonstration models built using the JAS-mine core and GUI libraries. The web application is built on the JAS-mine Web platform, which enables any JAS-mine model to be deployed on the World Wide Web and run, visualized, and explored in a standard web browser with no additional software installation required.

Platform

JAS-mine Online and JAS-mine Web were designed and built by Ross Richardson (GitHub), who was also the Chief Software Engineer for the JAS-mine libraries from 2014 to 2021, while at the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School, University of Oxford.

Source code:

The JAS-mine Web and Archetype libraries are released as open source under the European Union Public Licence.

JAS-mine

JAS-mine Online showcases models developed using the JAS-mine simulation platform, which is currently maintained by the Centre for Microsimulation and Policy Analysis, University of Essex.

If you have a JAS-mine-based microsimulation or agent-based model that you would like to make available through JAS-mine Online, please get in touch. We would be happy to discuss whether it could be added to the current selection of online models, and what technical setup would be needed to make it work well online.
